چکیده

We extend the special relativity into the superluminal case and firstly put forward a new superluminal theory of kinematics, in which we show that the temporal coordinate need exchanging with one of the spatial coordinates in a superluminal inertial frame, and that the coordinate transformations from any superluminal inertial frame to the rest frame (here rest just says in a relative sense) are the same as the Lorentz transformations from some normal inertial frame to the rest frame; consequently, the causality can not be violated. Secondly, we discuss the superluminal theory of dynamics and then lead to a conclusion that the total energy of any object moving at a speed of v (faster than the speed of light in vacuum c) is equal to the total energy of that object moving at a speed of u (u < c), and the product of two speeds satisfies uv = c 2. Lastly, we conjecture that this superluminal theory can give another novel interpretation to the essence of matter waves put forward by de Broglie.

v 1 2 7 Ju l 2 00 1 Faster - than - c signals , special relativity , and causality

Motivated by the recent attention on superluminal phenomena, we investigate the compatibility between faster-than-c propagation and the fundamental principles of relativity and causality. We first argue that special relativity can easily accommodate — indeed, does not exclude — faster-than-c signalling at the kinematical level. As far as causality is concerned, it is impossible to make statemen...

In all Friedman models, the cosmological redshift is widely interpreted as a consequence of the general-relativistic phenomenon of expansion of space. Other commonly believed consequences of this phenomenon are superluminal recession velocities of distant galaxies, and the distance to the particle horizon greater than c t (where t is the age of the Universe), in apparent conflict with special r...

ge n - ph ] 1 4 Ju n 20 00 A Nonstandard Derivation for the Special Theory of Relativity *

Using properties of the nonstandard physical world, a new fundamental derivation for all of the effects of the Special Theory of Relativity is given. This fundamental derivation removes all the contradictions and logical errors in the original derivation and leads to the fundamental expressions from which Prokhovnik [7] derives the basic Special Theory transformations. However, it is shown that...

In a geometric approach to special relativity it is found that the spin four-tensor S can be decomposed into two 4-vectors, the usual “space-space” intrinsic angular momentum S and a new one, the “time-space” intrinsic angular momentum Z, which are both equally well physical quantities. It is also shown that an electric dipole moment (EDM) of a fundamental particle, as a four-dimensional geomet...

SUPERLUMINAL SPATIO-TEMPORAL TRANSFORMATIONS First basic step toward the Superluminal Relativistic Mechanics

The paper provides a crucial elementary derivation of new superluminal spatio-temporal transformations based on the idea that, conceptually and kinematically, each subluminal ) (0 c v   ; luminal ) ( c v  and/or superluminal inertial reference frame c v > has, in addition to its relative velocity v , its proper specific kinematical parameter   v  , which having the physical dimensions of ...
